1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account (via Google Sign-In or email/password), we collect your email address and display name. If you sign up with Google, we do not store your Google password. We also collect:

  • Date of birth (to verify you are 18 or older)
  • eBay username (optional, used to match chat activity and award points)

Stream Data

When you use the Chrome extension during an eBay Live stream, we collect real-time stream metrics including:

  • Concurrent and total viewer counts
  • Likes count
  • Live auction sales totals
  • Available listings count
  • Stream elapsed time and duration
  • eBay event identifiers
  • Chat messages (eBay username and message text from the public chat)

This data is collected to power your dashboard, OBS widgets, and viewer engagement features such as chat points and leaderboards.

Viewer Engagement Data

If you are a viewer, we collect data related to the rewards system including:

  • Points earned from chat participation
  • Treasure chest openings and collectible items received
  • Daily spin activity
  • Voucher redemptions (shoutouts, forfeits, and other in-stream actions)

Usage Data

We may collect basic usage data such as pages visited, feature usage, and referral information to improve the Service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Display your real-time stream widgets and dashboard analytics
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Operate the viewer rewards system (points, treasure chests, daily spins, leaderboards)
  • Match chat messages to viewer accounts using eBay usernames
  • Send transactional and optional marketing emails (stream recaps, reward reminders, trial notifications)
  • Communicate with you about service updates or support requests
  • Process payments through our payment provider (Stripe)

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted in the EU/EEA). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated requests using your account credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Sign-In — for authentication (optional sign-in method). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — for transactional email delivery.
  • Stripe — for payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Vercel — for website hosting.
  • Supabase — for database and authentication services.

5. Chrome Extension Permissions

The Seller Widgets Chrome extension requires access to eBay Live pages to scrape your stream statistics. The extension:

  • Only activates on eBay Live pages (ebay.co.uk/ebaylive, ebay.com/ebaylive)
  • Only reads stream statistics visible on your seller console
  • Does not access your eBay account credentials or other browsing data
  • Does not track your browsing activity outside of eBay Live
  • Sends data only to sellerwidgets.com (our server)

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We may share data only:

  • With service providers who assist in operating the Service (as listed above)
  • If required by law or to protect our legal rights
  • In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, etc.)

7. Data Retention

We retain your stream data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will delete your data within 30 days of such a request.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
